FACES

This is the seventh piece in the STREET TIGERS series, named to align with similar projects such as EYES, which focuses on key features of the human body as presented in the modern world. With this work, I wanted to create my own version of "Faces of the City," drawing inspiration from fashion portraiture, street photography, and advertising.

I also chose to include a famous Japanese car the Mazda RX-7 which was popularized by tuner car culture and street racing. Unlike most other cars, the RX-7 is known for its unique engine: a rotary (or Wankel) engine, which uses a triangular rotor instead of pistons. Because of this, you’ll notice a triangle formation of faces within the work—something I thought would be an interesting thematic element.
